ABOUT THE CAUSE
Transitional Services for New York, Inc. (TSINY) is a comprehensive, community-based mental health organization located in New York City. They provide a continuum of rehabilitative services to enrich the lives of those recovering from mental illness and facilitate their transition to increased levels of independence.
The film TSINY is looking for will aim to teach the general public about the stigmatization of mental health struggles, as well as how services like theirs make a lasting impact on the people they serve.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Transitional Services for New York’s human service professionals work with persons with mental illness to help enrich their lives. We utilize a broad spectrum of client-centered services to support growth and empower individuals to achieve increased levels of independence and self-reliance. We are based out of New York City with our Executive offices in Whitestone, Queens. We are a non-profit mental health agency who serve people with severe mental illnesses for almost 49 years!
We need a 3-5 minute video about Homelessness to Home; what supportive housing is and why it works; breaking the stigma of mental illness; and the story of one individual, starting inside the shelter and moving to permanent housing, focusing on the how and why of our process.

We already have a talented and passionate team of Creative Leads assembled, and would love to work with anyone in the entertainment industry who is interested in contributing a specific skillset toward the telling of TSINY’s story!

PLEASE NOTE:
We understand that all of our volunteers are working professionals and will be donating their free time.
This project will most likely be filmed in New York, where TSINY is located, but remote work is welcome where possible. Particularly in post-production.
