THE PRODUCTION STORY

When we met Jamal Hill (SUH Founder), we knew we had an exciting project on our hands, with a charismatic and passionate voice to help tell their story. Once we connected Jamal with our project’s volunteer Director, Maria Corso, Maria quickly had a vision of how to tell the best story possible. Our film shoot happened at the Boys and Girls Club pool, in Pasadena, CA, where we had an amazing volunteer film Crew, helmed by talented Director of Photography, Rob Whitaker. The edit came together in a great way with the help of our volunteer editor Brandon Alexander Villarreal, graphics specialist Spencer Wierwille, and go-to colorist Josh Petok. Thank you to all who were involved in making this a very special and rewarding project!
