An estimated 460,000 veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan war alone, struggle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). These conditions can lead to sleeplessness, depression, anger, anxiety and isolation. While these feelings can be overwhelmingly difficult, they are treatable, but so many continue to suffer in silence. Each day, in the world’s greatest nation, 22 of our heroes will take their own lives.

The Patriotic Service Dog Foundation's goal is to reduce that statistic from “22 to Zero”.

THE PRODUCTION STORY

At Crews for a Cause we very much love to support amazing organization like this one who could not have afforded a film in the traditional way. Despite a cost of $20,000 per service dog, the PSDF provides these dogs to veterans in need at little to no cost. Aiding veterans with physical and psychological disabilities, the results thus far have been tremendous. We'd like to thank the Patriotic Service Dog Foundation for letting us be a part of their amazing organization.

Many individuals who would greatly benefit from a service dog unfortunately lack the financial resources to afford one on their own. Bankrate has created a guide that breaks down the total costs of obtaining a service dog and provides a list of alternative ways to finance these costs. They have also included a list of accredited organizations that provide complete or partial financial assistance for a variety of causes and individuals in need:
