Based out of Alabama, Hometown Organizing Project is a group of rural, working class southerners who are building inclusive and sustainable communities where everyone can thrive. Their volunteer network has sewn and crafted close to 30,000 masks for healthcare workers and immunocompromised residents of Alabama. In addition to that, they are also using a software platform that matches needs to resources under one map and provides resources and services to residents. Volunteers can find volunteer opportunities using the same platform.

Through a short two minute video, HOP hopes to inspire potential volunteers to get involved in their efforts, while also showing the need in the spaces where they work.
