Children's Law Center

Children's Law Center of California represents the 33,000 children who have come under the protection of the Los Angeles, Sacramento, or Placer County Juvenile Dependency Court systems. CLCC has two offices, one in Monterey Park, and one in Sacramento, and have a combined staff of nearly 450 lawyers, paralegals, and investigators. CLC attorneys are committed to excellence in child advocacy and appear on behalf of children in day-to-day dependency proceedings. We also provide representation in a host of related hearings that seek to ensure the well-being and future success of each child.

THE PRODUCTION STORY

With their 30th Anniversary Livestream Gala Fundraiser quickly approaching, Children's Law Center of California asked us to support them by creating a short film that would honor the incredible work of their dedicated staff and clients - and we were happy to help.

Under the direction of Robert Nyerges, we were able to create a Covid safe shooting plan, and in one day were able to film six interviews and its supporting b-roll with our talented filmers, Erik Hemans and John Bonenberger. Editor Christian Brennen helped sculpt the many hours of interviews we collected into a focused narrative, while colorist Josh Petok and online editor Jason Myers brought their talents to the finishing process. Finally, a special thank you for the continued support of Vancacore Music, who have been with us since day one.

The fundraiser was a huge success for CLC, as they raised over $150,000.
